Shueisha is holding its summer festival, Natsucomi 2020, from 1 July to 31 August this year, with a photo contest offering book coupons worth 1,000 yen each. If you buy Shueisha comic books (tankoubon), you’ll get a random Instagram-like frame card of Shueisha manga characters, including Asirpa.
Readers can then take interesting pics with the card and upload them to Twitter using the hashtag #ナツコミ2020フォトコンテスト and making sure that they follow @s_manga_net. Five hundred winners with the most interesting pics will be selected to win the coupons.
There are 20 kinds of frames available, but not all shops will have all frames. You must check the list of the stores participating in the event here. Some overseas Kinokuniya and some other book stores also participate, but the Golden Kamuy frame will be available in:
- Kinokuniya Seattle, US
- Kinokuniya New York, US
- Junkudo, Taipei, Taiwan
- Kinokuniya Shukumvit and Rajadamri in Bangkok, Thailand
- Kinokuniya in KLCC, Malaysia.
The list might be updated so check whether your nearest Japanese book store is part of the program.
You can also customize your pics using the digital version of the frames, which are available here. Snap your pics, and have fun decorating them with the frames!
