Yes, season 3 of ‘Golden Kamuy’ anime is coming

How are you all, wolves? I am writing this on my twentieth day of staying at home during the coronavirus outbreak, and I know this is so late to write here but I’ve got things that occupied me. But anyway, yes, we’re getting season 3 of Golden Kamuy anime. It’s not just some promise that got announced but then forgotten. And honestly, it’s such a spirit-lifting thing to hear in these trying times.

New Golden Kamuy fragrance: Hijikata and Ienaga

Primaniacs has added two variants to their Golden Kamuy fragrance line-up: Hijikata Toshizou and Ienaga Kano. Our fragrance tester – the one with the best smelling taste among us – managed to have a sniff of the two new variants. She said that Hijikata’s smells fresh, with a bit floral and spicy scent. Meanwhile, she can smell the rose in Ienaga’s fragrance, which is refreshing but not overpowering.

She also tested Koito’s perfume, and she said that it’s somehow very floral, but also musky. Just like Koito’s, Tsukishima’s is floral, but the tone reminded her of the ocean. Somehow this fits Sado Island-native Tsukishima so much! Information about Koito’s and Tsukishima’s fragrance is here, while more information about Hijikata’s and Ienaga’s can be found below.

Each 30-ml bottle is sold for 5,417 yen (with tax 5,797 yen).

Season 3 confirmed!

During the Golden Kamuy Special Event on 7 July 2019, it was announced that season 3 is on the works! And with that, Golden Kamuy officially left the two-season anime club, where so many anime titles that have never got past the second season gather… The first visual was also released, showing Sugimoto in a thick snowstorm, with the words Then, to Karafuto… shown on it.

Can’t wait to listen to their voice acting again!

A trailer for the upcoming OVA Monster has also been released. The OVA will come with the special edition of Golden Kamuy manga volume 19, slated for 19 September 2019 release. In an official interview – and as you can see in the trailer yourself – director Nanba Hitoshi said that this time they don’t make the bear with 3D CG anymore. They’re all hand-drawn now. Bye bye then, iconic (ahem) 3D CG bear!
