Golden Kamuy news roundup April-May 2020

Let’s start the roundup with something alcoholic. Sapporo Classic will again release limited special design cans in collaboration with Golden Kamuy. If in the first year of collaboration (2018) the cans only featured Sugimoto, and in the second year Sugimoto and Shiraishi, now in 2020 another character has been added to the line-up: Ushiyama. Sales are slated to begin on 21 July 2020, and they’re only available in/from Hokkaido stores.

Golden Kamuy licensed in Mexico; Sapporo Beer special edition returns!

First of all, congratulations, Mexico! Panini, which has previously licensed Golden Kamuy in Brazil, is now taking Golden Kamuy to Mexico. The first volume, rated 17+, will be out in June 2019, priced at 109 pesos.

Another good news for summer is that this year Sapporo Beer ties up again with Golden Kamuy. This time, another can design is introduced: Shiraishi design!

A busy Golden Kamuy Week: from beer, OVA to Hokkaido tourism campaign

It’s been a busy week for Golden Kamuy – despite the manga not appearing in this week’s Young Jump (volume 24/2018), with ‘harvest’ cited as the reason for its absence. Not only the one-month delay for the BD/DVD release to give time for improvement for the anime, there was a string of other announcements made. Let’s see them one by one.
